At 10 a.m. on the morning of February 2nd, 2008, the Lane Bryant store in Tinley Park, Illinois opened for the day. Just minutes later, a man entered the store posing as a delivery person. He eventually pulled out a gun and took the store manager, a part time employee, and four customers hostage. The six women were forced into a back room, where they were bound with duct tape and shot, execution style. The store manager and the four customers were killed instantly, but the part time employee survived. She had moved just as the gunman fired, and although she was shot in the neck, she lived to give police a detailed description of the killer. Despite her account and an extensive investigation, the gunman has never been identified.
