Are you excited and ready to contour and beat your face to the gods? Do you feel like it takes away and diminishes the natural beauty of a woman? Or do you see women in makeup and feel critical, like she must be hiding something, she’s being phony or superficial? When it comes to being confident, looks do matter, but maybe not for the reason you think. Mally Roncal is an entrepreneur and celeb makeup artist that exudes levels of confidence and beauty anyone would want. She touches on why embracing what makes you different, what makes you unique, and sometimes what makes you feel the most uncomfortable is a power only you can harness. There is a connection between our inner beauty and the physical. You are not defined by one or the other, and there is no shame in celebrating yourself the way that makes you feel most confident. Beauty isn’t about other people, it’s about you and feeling good and dressing up and highlighting your beauty in the way you choose to feel and look your best. At this Rad Con Live event Lisa is joined by incredibly confident and strong women such as Danielle Canty of Bossbabes, Nicole LePera, and Eve Torres Gracie from Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The conversation gets open and extremely vulnerable. Discussing aging and insecurities around beauty, scars, and self-worth isn’t easy to do openly, but as women we need to be able to have these conversations. If you struggle with your appearance or catch yourself judging yourself and other women for the choices they make and don’t make in relation to beauty and living above the standards, this is a must watch! SHOW NOTES: QUOTES: “It can be your power. We don’t have to think of it as self hate, for wanting to look good, for wanting to feel like you can go out there and empower yourself by looking in the mirror.” Mally Roncal [3:23] “Finding a new relationship with makeup, and finding a new relationship with my face as it changes, and learning to do that with grace and appreciation is a journey.” Eve Torres Gracie [30:27] ‘Scars are the fact that you made it through something, [...] today I’m going to cover that because I feel like it, and today I’m not, and that’s okay too!” Mally Roncal [34:01] “Beauty is not for him or her or them, it’s for yourself.” Mally Roncal [36:28] “That's what love is, acceptance. It is the space to be exactly as we are in whatever moment that is.” Nicole LePera [38:43] Follow Mally Roncal: Website: https://mallyroncal.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mallyroncal/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mallyroncal Twitter: https://twitter.com/mallyroncal
