A very good day for picnics, not so much for peas. This week we’re sitting down with the wonderful actor, Daisy Edgar-Jones. With roles in Cold Feet, Normal People, Twisters, Where the Crawdads Sing already on her CV, Daisy joins us to talk about her latest role as Elinor Dashwood in the new adaptation of Austen’s classic: Sense and Sensibility. The roast dinner’s summer sabbatical is officially over and Spatch September is upon us. Angela serves Paul Gamble’s miso, lime and herb butter-roasted spatchcock chicken, bringing together the fresh, punchy Japanese flavours Daisy loves. It comes with a seasonal salad of mangetout, radish and lettuce, a trusty bowl of chips and a bottle of Côté Mas Vin Orange, chosen by the Waitrose wine experts. Orange wine also makes its Dish debut, so there’s plenty to celebrate. Over dinner, Daisy shares her very strong food philosophy: every ingredient deserves its own moment, peas should never have a pop and a roast is only as good as its condiments.
