At his sentencing hearing, Caleb Flynn maintained his innocence and told the court he did not kill his wife, Ashley Flynn. Then Ashley's family spoke. Flynn's own daughters had statements read on their behalf. One told her father he'd caused enough pain and she's never coming to visit him. The other asked how he could kill the only mother she ever had and told him it was his choice — every step of it. Ashley's sister addressed the man she once called her brother. Ashley's parents told the court they forgive Flynn but asked for the maximum sentence. A jury had convicted Flynn on all nine counts for shooting Ashley in the back of the head while she slept in their Tipp City home on February 16 and staging the scene as a home invasion. Their daughters were in the next room. Flynn was having an 18-month affair with a 24-year-old church intern.
