He believes that while parental guidance is essential, adolescents should eventually be taught how to make the right choices for themselves rather than just being controlled.

“And instead of trying to control their choices, I think it's trying to teach them how to make the right choice, right? And uh yeah, I totally agree that there's a weird phenomenon that happens when you get to the independence, but yeah.”

Children need opportunities for unsupervised play and autonomous activities to develop essential life skills like problem-solving and empathy.

“When adults organize a game, we are efficient, right? We decide what they're going to play and whether the ball was in or out and who gets a trophy, which is easy because everyone, right? But when kids are organizing a game, it is a total mess.”
