President Vučić believes that integrating all Western Balkan countries into the EU single market is the most rational path forward for Serbia and the region.

The current referendum is not a final decision on joining the EU, but rather an opportunity to decide whether to reopen accession negotiations to see what an agreement would look like.

He argues that the European Union is a socialist, unaccountable superstate that undermines British sovereignty and national identity.

“It didn't want to be part of an unaccountable European socialist protectionist superstate.”

She describes the European Union as an undemocratic, corrupt bureaucracy that imposes its will over the laws of sovereign nations.

“It's basically a bureaucracy that sits on top of another bureaucracy. Like, if you are a citizen of Europe, not only are you subject to your own country's laws, but then there's also another body that sits in Brussels that can tell your country what it can or cannot do.”

The European Union has transitioned from a promising trade alliance into a centralized, disempowering super-organism that discards national sovereignty.

“The consequence was really the elimination of intermediary political structures and the creation of a super organism in Brussels.”

He believes the European Union's recent digital legislation acts as a vehicle to censor speech and limit freedom rather than just addressing illegal activity.

“It means that search engines and platforms with over 45 million active monthly users, they'll have to monitor for, now read you what's in this bill that you know, sounds good. Right. Sounds And then get to, oh wait, red flag. Dissemination of illegal content.”
