He believes that a two-party system with balance between Democrats and Republicans is the most effective way to accomplish goals in government.

“when we get the most accomplished is if there's a good balance and when people sit down and you meet in the middle and you get things done just like when i was governor i worked with the democrats as well as i've worked with the republicans and we got things done”

She believes her political career is a testament to resilience, as she has overcome challenges and persistent harassment to hold office.

“I think it did the opposite for me. I think it gave me um a sense of like I survived all of these things that could have destroyed me, could have killed me. Um and so what is the point of having fear?”
