He considers writing for the show to be harder than performing.

“I th- I think writing is harder. Like it's hard to do. I I don't know. I still find writing is hard. Like you ne- it never gets really easy. But performing is just a whole other skill that that uh you don't know if you have until you're doing it.”

Writing for Saturday Night Live was a challenging but beneficial experience that felt like being redshirted in sports.

“I had only at that point really kind of realized how to write for myself now I'm being asked to write for other people but I I then got to learn the show learn learn the staff learn learn the the script format like it it felt like you know to speak to you know athletes like it felt like being red sh”

He believes the show should not be performed because it is ready, but because the schedule dictates it must be live by 11:30.

“The the secret the show doesn't go on because it's ready. Go on because it's 11:30. It's never ready.”

The current cast members of Saturday Night Live produce sketches that are just as high in quality as those from previous eras.

“they do stuff that's just as good as anybody ever did all the time”

Adam Sandler believes that the current cast of Saturday Night Live is incredible, and he expresses a desire to have another opportunity to participate in the show.

“but the older I got I watch every cast I'd be like [ __ ] these guys are incredible and the men and women on the show and the way they they handle themselves I was like oh [ __ ] man I wish I had another crack at that because I I'd do better next time”
