The alcohol lobby is the primary force working to keep marijuana illegal to protect their market share.

Afroman argues that marijuana should be federally decriminalized.

He believes that the government is inconsistent for categorizing cannabis as a dangerous Schedule 1 substance while holding a patent on it for medicinal use.

“the government can't have it both ways they can't say like this is the hardest drug there is which is just ridiculous but also in 2001 put a patent on it for recognizing its medical qual quality qualities”
