“So in the short-term, I don't think it's going to have much of an impact on the midterms at all.”

“However they try to rig it, elections by definition are about accountability to us.”

A midterm election for the party in power is historically difficult and likely to result in being punished by voters.

“Voters want to punish the party in power, and um you will be punished.”
