He believes the current environment of NIL and transfer portals provides Northern universities an advantage due to the wealth of their alumni networks.

“Is the North taking over the South in athletics? Because the transfer portal and the NIL have now allowed the alumni from these northern universities that most of them come from business schools and have some sort of job where they're able to go ahead and give a h 100,000 bucks a year”

He thinks that while the shift in power toward players is significant, a hard-nosed leadership style from a coach remains effective.

“like we talked about the college system nowadays with NIL, the power shifting more to the players. However, coach S has kind of gone back to that hard ass mentality where he's I mean he's going to rip you. He doesn't really care about his feelings. He cares about winning.”
