He advocates for welcoming new people to the outdoors to grow the community of conservationists needed to ensure the future of hunting and fishing.

“I think that the only way we're going to win any of these things is by putting out a hand to folks and saying, "Come on out. See this stuff. It's amazing. It's yours. Enjoy it. Experience it. Take care of it."”

He argues that hunters should reject a scarcity mindset and instead focus on expanding access and growing a community that works toward abundant wildlife populations.

“I completely reject and decline to even entertain the ideas of that scarcity mindset that we just got to fight harder, we got to figure out how to exclude somebody else. No. There are other things that have created crowding.”
