He is frustrated with the process by which news of Billy Gil's departure was shared, blaming the delay on his father.

“The reason we started late is because Greg Cote was supposed to scoop everybody with Billy Gil is leaving and create the chatter necessary to draw people over to our show to start and hear the beginning of the show, but he didn't release it on time because your father is a fool.”

He believes that while Billy Gil's departure is sad, it is also a positive development for his career growth.

“I'm both sad and happy to announce that. Sad because someone I care about deeply is going. Happy because someone I care about deeply is also growing.”

He considers the loss of Billy Gil to be a significant blow to the show's operations and soul.

“Billy's gentle grace behind the scenes and creative coloring in the scenes are not things that can be replicated ever, never mind replaced. All of this will be harder without him, obviously. Our soul won't be the same.”
