He admits he took very little time off after the births of his children and considers himself a poor father for it.

“When my daughter was born, I took 20 minutes. And when my son was born, I took four. Now, let me also just add to that, I'm a terrible father and an awful human being.”

A man's paternity leave is most effectively utilized by spreading time off intermittently rather than taking a long consecutive block at the very start.

“So spreading out the paternity I think is very useful when you just sit there sort of like at this the baby's an inanimate object at the beginning and um doesn't really do a lot, naps a ton and like assuming you know health went well, knock on wood, there's not a whole lot to do.”
