Improvisation is a language that is most effectively learned at an early age through constant exposure.

“I just heard it and just was like, "Oh, yeah, okay, cool." And not realizing that it was developing my ear, because I really, bebop is one of the hardest to improvise in that style, in that language of bebop. It's very difficult to do. And hearing it as a kid is one of the things that I think enable”

Harland Williams indicates that he uses a style of improvisational humor involving rapid, creative wordplay and absurd scenarios.

“I do what's called eloquent.”

Bob argues that even in an audio-only format, their improv performance was effective and successful.

“I think it was a pucker too and everything I think it was funny for us but I left oh God all right no this is the episode I'm down with it it's good”

Mark notes that performing improv without a live audience presence or visual interaction feels strange and different from their past experiences.
