The shooter who killed Charlie Kirk deserves the death penalty.

The death penalty should be carried out promptly for violent offenders, and the bureaucratic delays caused by mandatory appeals are detrimental to justice.

“In a just society, the man responsible to Carlos Brown would be given a speedy trial under our Constitution. and then put to death. I mean, this happened several weeks ago. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be on trial right now.”

The death penalty could be acceptable if there is a secondary independent investigation of the prosecution's conduct to ensure no evidence was withheld or manipulated.

“Have the death penalty. Someone is charged with a capital offense and they're duly convicted. Let's say Kla Harris is the prosecutor. We then have after the conviction a secondary independent investigation of the prosecutor from a different jurisdiction”

A prosecution official who knowingly withholds exculpatory evidence in a capital case should themselves be charged with a capital offense.

“So a prosecutor that intentionally seeks the death penalty for an individual knowing the individual is either innocent or withhold withholds exculpatory evidence is now subject to a capital offense charge themselves and they could too face the death penalty.”

The death penalty is an appropriate sanction in some circumstances, but it should not be applied in cases lacking due process or fair trials.

“I look at cases like that and think you know, there are times where the death penalty just seems appropriate. Um and it it would be a uh uh I think it would be unfortunate if that was taken off the table. I'm also aware in circumstantial cases how powerful it is for an expert a physician, for exampl”

It is preferable for guilty individuals to go free than for an innocent person to be wrongly executed.

“in my opinion it it's always better that 10 guilty people walk free if it's going to protect that one innocent person right and and and so you know that that's the balancing act”
