Athletes should rely on others to promote their accomplishments rather than bragging about their own statistics.

“You don't brag about your own stats. You don't tell your own stats. You let somebody else around you do it.”

He suggests that Slovakian hockey players often lack the confidence needed for international success because they feel intimidated by top-tier national programs.

He views giving athletes a second chance as a positive organizational approach.

“I think they did the similar thing with Montgomery a while back, a second chance situation. And hey, I'm all about second chances as we all know.”
