Logan feels that being a father is a significant life change that has introduced a new kind of purpose and family dynamic.

“I have this brand new kid I have a daughter like an actual family now which I never thought would happen in my life like ever”

“I be having her every day. It was different with my firstborn cuz [ __ ] the whole village raised her. I was 17, 18. My mama helped. My pops, stepmama, grandparents, everybody helped. With her, it's just me.”

“It takes it the moment the first one pops out. It's like, okay, my entire like um hierarchy of priorities is completely shifted >> just like that.”

Becoming a father was his most significant pivot, as it taught him how to be a better man, husband, and person.

“I think my best pivot has been becoming a father. Because becoming a father showed me how to be a man and how to be a husband. So, that was the greatest pivot that I could make”

Chris believes that being a father is a deeply rewarding experience and that a man’s active involvement and emotional support are crucial for his child's development.

“And I feel like not enough people talk about how important the role is for a man in a daughter's life. Of course, it's important. We talk about daddy issues, but we don't talk about how important it is to avoid that.”

Being a present, engaged father is the most important role a person can have in their life.

“At the end of the day, when we're looking back at our lives, the most important job you're ever going to have is as a mom and a dad.”

Kenyon Martin Sr decided to be a present and active father for his children because he vowed not to repeat the absence and neglect he experienced from his own father.

“I vowed I'm not gonna be that. I'm gonna be better than him. Whatever it was, I was going to be better than him.”

He feels that he missed out on being a present father due to his professional ambition.

“I would go to read a book and think I'm failing them as a father because I'm not working like I would be like God damn it man I got to hustle I got to figure out a way to make money”

He aspires to be a patient, calm, and present father who avoids the pitfalls of working excessively at the expense of family time.

“I also want to make sure I'm around enough. My job totally allows that. Like, I have time. I can work as little or as much as I want. That's that's the beauty of my job. Obviously, I work less. I earn less. But, you know, I can make those sacrifices.”

Parents should provide children with explanations for their decisions rather than merely saying they must obey without question.

“And I think that parents need to, when they're explaining to their children why they should not be doing something, don't give them this bull answer of because I said so.”

Luke Combs feels it is essential to be honest with his children about his past mistakes and limitations as a parent to maintain trust.

“I think the first conversation is going to be I want to tell you before you find out first. I think that's the most important thing is is getting ahead of, you know, I don't want him to to one day, you know, have access to the internet and come across this thing”

A parent should be honest with their child about the world around them rather than shielding them from its realities.

“I'm raising a city kid. I'm raising a New York City native. It's what he is. And you're going to see stuff in that city. You walking down the street, you're going to see stuff that I can't just explain away. It's Oh, no, son. Come on, let's keep walking. No. No. Let's talk about it.”

“I try not to be that parent that make it look like I know everything cuz I don't cuz I make mistakes I make mistakes too”

“if my my daughter messes up i'll sit her down and tell her explain to her like why she messed up and and what are the ramifications of this i don't just want to say hey stop doing that and then that's it like to me you have to explain to your kids the why behind everything because then t”
