“It only it only taught me like how to be a better criminal. Right. You know, I never knew what it was like to make a shank or, you know what I'm saying? Go bust on somebody or that I'm talking about hand-to-hand combat.”

“it's so diabolically evil and unfair unjust it's full of poor people poor uneducated people it's full of people with mentally illnesses”

“They set like they set up [ __ ] like riots. They set up uh stabbings. They I mean they're not rehabilitating. They just as crooked as they got their own gang. The green wall in prison. They have a gang. The police had a gang called the Green Wall.”

“you get to that point where you become you're cool i like hanging out with you but you're a stick of furniture yeah you're just interchanging like you'll be going somewhere so you don't allow yourself to get that connection anymore and you just become listen it cre it turns you into a psychopath”

Prison serves as a necessary mechanism for forced rehabilitation and self-reflection, providing a chance to change one's life path.

“I knew it was it was time to rehabilitate, clean up my life. And it was a message the judge was sending me to prison for a reason, right? I I deserve to go to prison. No doubt. I broke the law.”

He believes incarceration provided him with a crucial opportunity to focus, reflect on his principles, and prepare for a successful life after prison.

“I grew up in prison and realized that wasn't a way and I'm showing you young [ __ ] you could come home and you could really turn it the [ __ ] up if you focus rap you could do this [ __ ] like whatever you put your mind to in that [ __ ] you can manifest it”

He believes that incarceration should be used as an opportunity for personal growth and finding purpose rather than just serving time.

“I'm going to take all that energy that I had into destruction and being [ __ ] hurtful and I'm going to channel that into having it be that my purpose is to grow, is to improve, and is to help wherever the [ __ ] I'm at.”

Clinton Portis views his time in prison as a blessing in disguise that provided him with necessary clarity, peace of mind, and an appreciation for what is truly important in life.

“I think it was like a blessing in disguise for me um the opportunity you know the moment to sit down I don't think I had a chance to rest since I was like 18”

“I hate prison jail dude I hate it I hate just I hate the people in there I hate just the whole situation I just I hate it all dude it's just it's nothing there's nothing fun or good about it at all”

He believes that one must accept the consequences of their actions, including prison time, if they have enjoyed the benefits of a high-stakes lifestyle.

“You can't enjoy the caviar and enjoy all the private jets and then not be willing to do the time for the crime.”

“I said you know what I put myself here yeah like and it was like once I did that it was like something opened up inside of me I'm like holy stuff man like I put myself it's nobody's fault by my own and like all the self-development books just like came back like that once bam”

“I'm not trying to downplay cuz I took a man's life. I take full responsibility. I can't, you know, turn back the hands of time.”
