Barry Morphew is preparing to stand trial for the alleged murder of his wife, Suzanne Morphew, whose disappearance on Mother’s Day weekend in 2020 became one of Colorado’s most watched criminal investigations. The first prosecution was dismissed in 2022, but after Suzanne’s remains were found in 2023, prosecutors brought a new first-degree murder indictment in 2025. Barry Morphew has pleaded not guilty, and the trial is scheduled to begin October 13, 2026, with proceedings expected to last up to six weeks. In this episode, we break down a defense motion asking the court to exclude what it calls “so-called victimology testimony.” The motion argues that labels like “victimology,” “pattern of life,” “behavioral analysis,” and “profiling” risk turning investigative context into unfair courtroom testimony. The prosecution is likely to see this same evidence as critical context for Suzanne’s life, her routines, her relationship, her communications, and the circumstances around her disappearance. Let’s examine why behavior matters in homicide investigations, why prosecutors want it included and defense attorneys see it as dangerous. #SuzanneMorphew #BarryMorphew #ProfilingEvil #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #ColoradoCrime #MorphewTrial #Victimology #BehavioralAnalysis #PatternOfLife #CriminalBehavior #ForensicAnalysis #CourtroomAnalysis #JusticeForSuzanne #MissingPersons #GIS #DomesticHomicide #CriminalInvestigation #BAM #Tranquilizer #Colorado #TrueCrimePodcast #CrimeAnalysis ======================================== 20% OFF Newspapers.com https://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26 ======================================== Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com ======================================== 💳 DONATE: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=T54JX76RZ455S 💵 PayPal: https://paypal.me/profilingevil 🕵️BECOME A MEMBER: https://www.youtube.com/profilingevil/join 🛒SHOP MERCH: https://www.profilingevil.com/profilingevilshop 📖SHOP BOOKS: https://www.profilingevil.com/store
