Rachael argues that linking Caitlin's disappearance to the unrelated murder of their cousin Brianna is harmful and distracting.

“it's not helpful to them it's hurtful it distracts from caitlyn's case and at the end of the day her cousin brianna was brutally murdered by a man who now sits on death row so they got justice for her and they want to now focus on getting justice for caitlyn”

The family is seeking assistance from US officials to pressure Guatemalan authorities for a more thorough investigation into Nancy Ng's disappearance.

“what you can do to help is one of two things. We can email the US ambassador in Guatemala. His name is Tobin Bradley, and you can email him at amcitsguatemala@state.gov. Something else you can do is to contact your local congressperson to get involved.”

She claims that families must be their own advocates because the authorities will not do it for them.

“I would tell the families that the only advocate for your family will be you no one else will advocate for your family”

The host argues that emails to tribal authorities regarding missing persons should be written respectfully to be effective.

“keep it nice okay we have found that when you come from an attacking angle often times it goes nowhere and gets shut down so we've got to keep the respect there”

Raising money through a GoFundMe is essential for the family to hire legal help and pursue their case.

“We set up a GoFundMe because we currently don't have enough money to hire lawyers to help with our case, and sharing and donating to our GoFundMe would make a huge difference right now, um and that's our top priority because we're really trying to get the lawsuit going.”

He believes that sharing his brother's story is crucial to honoring his legacy and potentially preventing future harm to other children.

“it's my hope that his story gives someone strength that they need to protect themselves to protect their kids i hope that his story inspires lawmakers in new mexico to change what's happening here because it's not enough to say something needs to change we have to actually do something about it”

She intends to keep advocating for her daughter and granddaughter until there is justice.

“I'm willing to be their voice for as long as I have voice in me I will never never ever ever give up”
