Ted Danson views the ability to stay present in the moment while acting as the core of the profession.

“Be there in that moment. I mean, that's that's the fun amazing thing about acting. It's for me it's 5050 at best that I will really be there in the moment as opposed to going, "Oh, I'm cooking now. Look at me." Or something that's not genuinely being surprised by what you're going to do.”

The choice of film projects is driven more by the pursuit of an interesting experience than by concerns about whether the project will be a mainstream success.

“I do big bigger movies and smaller movies with no concern about like the result it's really more about the experience exact the same yeah yeah exactly the same like the experience for me that's what we live and die with Tim timately right”

Matthew McConaughey believes acting is a subjective experience where an actor should focus on owning their character rather than worrying about directorial or producer tasks.

“When you're an actor it's a subjective experience. You know where I got to be I got I have to own my man. And I I if I own my man that's plenty and it is. And it and I'd rather just I prefer to just have the one hat of acting subjective hat.”

Greg Kinnear suggests that acting should be done without being self-conscious or winking at the audience to appear as if the performance is not sincere.

“there's a slight wink where I know I'm being funny or I'm not really this. I'm you know right >> I'm a manly man. I'm not this silly person I'm playing. >> That would be horrible.”

He feels that sharing one's internal emotional life is a credible and important way to create positive change in the world.

“And you're doing a lot of good just by sharing yourself in a more direct way than you would have been able to by acting. You're really kind of sharing your insides here. And that's that's really hard to do.”

Bobby Lee feels that the audition process for Asian actors in the past was restrictive and often forced them into limited roles.

“I feel like I have my own lane because before they they gave us one lane yeah and they put all of us in one street or whatever is that why don't you know how that analogy Works what does Lane mean no no you had we had guard rails we could always do certain things right right and we were told to do t”

Dumbfoundead acknowledges that seeing similar-looking competitors at an audition can be intimidating and creates a sense that he might not be the one to get the role.

“I definitely feel that with my type like if I ran into like that Joseph Lee guy right I'll feel like I'm not getting this [ __ ] right like he's like my York item or my your type or no no I don't think so Oh what that really hurts what you just [ __ ] say right my type handsome”

The experience of testing for a role is the worst human experience a person can go through.

“and once I was done singing and I went into the acting part I was like oh I could do this oh yeah yeah cuz once you got to sing and do that thing it's really that's the worst Human Experience a human being can go through is testing”
