Candidates for office should prioritize the needs of working families over corporate interests and party labels.

“I'm not team red. I'm not team blue. South Texas, I'm team you.”

Greg Abbott has prioritized the interests of his wealthy donors over the needs of Texans, leading to systemic corruption and failures in public services like education.

“It is policy that is driven by moneyed special interests. And I refer to it as the Greg Abbott corruption tax. We pay more, we get less because we are all paying the Greg Abbott corruption tax.”

The current administration in power is corrupt, harms the community, and should be replaced by representatives who defend dignity and humanity.

Tim Pool argues that the Texas Democrats who fled the state to block legislation should be arrested, characterizing their actions as bribery and a violation of the law.

“If the point of the fine is to deter illicit activities and beta or says we'll cover those costs so you have no repercussions then bribery because they're taking money in exchange for official duties lock them up”

Texas Democrats should be forced to yield power because their actions of fleeing the state are an attempt to stall inevitable political shifts.

“No, no, they're screeching because they're not in power and I I think they have to yield this power right now. I think Texas is was is turning purple.”

Scott Greer believes that the Texas Democrats who fled the state to disrupt the legislative process should face jail time for subverting the will of the voters.

“They are subverting the will of the people and they deserve jail time for that. Absolutely.”

Texas Republicans are engaging in an undemocratic effort to disenfranchise voters by rigging legislative maps.

“And so this is going to prevent the Republicans in the state legislature in Texas from being able to push forward this gerrymandered map that is expressly designed to be able to steal five more seats from the Democrats.”

The recent redistricting in Texas focused on targeting Latino districts that are currently moving away from Trump, making the stability of those seats uncertain.

“One of the biggest issues with the Texas redistricting though is that they focused on Latino districts which is not not looking good for them. So we actually don't know if those five seats will actually flip or if they're safe.”

The Texas legislature, pressured by the Trump administration, utilized racial data to surgically dilute the political power of Black and Hispanic voters in their latest redistricting map.

“They targeted black and Hispanic voters with surgical precision. They diluted their votes. They drew a new map that gave uh Republicans five extra seats in the House.”
