Matthew Cox believes that inmates who are high-profile or well-connected receive special protection from prison staff to avoid negative media attention.

“he takes me out in the hallway he doesn't even want the other staff to hear it right he's like look we got a guy coming off the bus in a couple of days I want you to go talk to all the Reps let it let them know that if anybody in their car [ __ ] with this man I will smash the entire car”

He claims the federal prison system is inherently corrupt, violent, and focuses on negative reinforcement.

“the prison [ __ ] sucks dude that shit's like the netherworld of corruption and violence”
