He suggests the afterlife operates on a system of soul evolution that requires multiple lifetimes to fully resolve karmic lessons.

“it can't be the one and done scenario. It makes no sense. Uh even on a logical st everything else makes sense that you come back down to earth, you relive multiple lives, learn different lessons.”

The physical world is a matrix and the true reality is the eternal, unseen world where loved ones continue to exist.

“the real world is the Unseen World where there's no time I think we're in some sort of Matrix here where we experience time from the the physical body right once you're born it starts decaying right after it grows and it's a cycle but the Eternal world is alive and around us”

The consciousness of departed loved ones continues to exist in a dimension that can be accessed, similar to how one accesses the internet.

“When people ask me that question, I go where's the internet? And they get quiet and I go, you can't go there with a physical body, but you can access it. So, you can access this dimension.”

He believes in an afterlife from a religious perspective and suspects there is a reality to the existence of a soul.

“I was raised a Catholic. I believe in God. I believe in an afterlife but it's a religious-based belief.”

He claims that the human mind functions independently of the brain and survives physical death.

“The mind can live on even after physical death which you say is ultimate evidence of the soul.”

He maintains a skeptical stance and believes there is no evidence to support the existence of an afterlife.

“So the default position here is that um as far as we know there is no afterlife although there could be uh and we uh just we keep an open mind and remain uh uh just skeptical until proven otherwise.”

Physical remains become part of the Earth through decomposition or, if cremated, dispersed as energy into the atmosphere, but consciousness does not survive the cessation of brain activity.

“and to believe somehow that your actual consciousness is still there to be transported or transferred when we know your brain just goes away. Uh that requires leaps of faith that many people have but not sort of atheistic scientists.”

He expressed a desire to have his cremated remains distributed in restaurants throughout New York City to become a part of the city's inhabitants.

“I want the ashes taken to restaurants all around Manhattan and just put little bits in pepper shakers all over the city so that I can become a part of everybody in New York.”
