This week, we’re going into the nuances of modern relationships, personal growth and codependency. 🎧💕 Nowadays, our society has shifted so much that we're all navigating a whole new landscape of love and connection. Back in the day, you would meet someone in your town, get married, have a few kids, and that was your entire life. But now, our expectations in relationships have evolved significantly. We're no longer just looking for a partner to share our lives with; we're seeking someone who is emotionally, romantically, financially, and sexually compatible, all while maintaining independence, stellar communication, and a deep connection. That's a pretty tall order! 😅 So it comes down the main question: What do we ACTUALLY want a relationship for? I thought who better to have this conversation with than Mark Groves? I met him back in 2018! Mark is not only an incredible father and husband but also the co-author of the groundbreaking book "Liberated Love," where he bares his soul and shares his personal journey of heartbreak, reunion, and the intricacies of codependency. 📚 In this episode, Mark and I are going to shine a light on: The evolving dynamics of modern relationships and societal expectations. How you can identify and address your own codepndent tendencies in relationships. Ways we can better understand and heal from ancestral wounds that impact our relationships? The shocking ways your birth story influences your relationship behaviours and codependency. The unique challenges and dynamics of relationships where women are financially independent or out-earn their partners. Why taking a sacred pause after my divorce was one of the best things I did to create space for self-discovery and healing.
