Prosecutors have said Timothy Hudson killed his stepsister, Anna Kepner, “without any warning.” But accounts from people outside the immediate family suggest there may have been troubling signs long before Anna was killed. Anna’s ex-boyfriend’s father has publicly claimed he attempted to alert the family about Hudson’s alleged behavior. According to those claims, Hudson was fixated on Anna, wanted a romantic relationship with her despite being her stepbrother, was known to carry a large knife, and was allegedly seen climbing on top of Anna while she was asleep during a FaceTime call. Anna’s aunt has also said Anna did not want to go on the cruise. Later, Hudson’s father accused Hudson’s mother of taking the children without his permission. Yet despite those alleged concerns, Anna ended up sharing a cabin with Hudson, with no parents in the room.
