Sam Bateman, the self-proclaimed prophet tied to a polygamous FLDS offshoot, took the stand in his own defense and the jury did not buy it. Bateman was already serving a 50-year federal sentence for a child sexual abuse conspiracy involving underage girls, but this state case focused on three young girls found inside an enclosed trailer he was hauling through Flagstaff in 2022. This episode walks through the opening statements, Bateman’s decision to represent himself, the prosecution’s argument, the criminal charges, Bateman’s testimony, and why the jury only took 40 minutes to returned guilty verdicts on all of the child abuse counts. We’ll also talk about the larger behavior pattern and what the courtroom evidence and credible reporting taught us about coercive control and how predators use belief systems to hide abuse in plain sight. #SamBateman #SamuelBateman #FalseProphet #TrustMeTheFalseProphet #FLDS #Polygamy #ChildAbuse #ChildBrides #DomesticViolence #DV #TrueCrime #ProfilingEvil #CrimeNews #ArizonaCrime #Cults #CoerciveControl #Netflix #ReligiousAbuse #SurvivorVoices #JusticeForChildren #CourtroomDrama #CriminalBehavior #PredatorPsychology #HiddenAbuse #TrueCrimeCommunity ======================================== 20% OFF Newspapers.com https://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26 ======================================== Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVIL Referral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL ======================================== Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com ======================================== 💳 DONATE: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=T54JX76RZ455S 💵 PayPal: https://paypal.me/profilingevil 🕵️BECOME A MEMBER: https://www.youtube.com/profilingevil/join 🛒SHOP MERCH: https://www.profilingevil.com/profilingevilshop 📖SHOP BOOKS: https://www.profilingevil.com/store
